2001: Developed Chartscript medical software program in 2001 continuously in use by UCLA, Bowyer Cancer
Center for integrating cancer patients’ medical data and calculating dosing of chemotherapy and other treatment
modalities for those patients.
1995: Developed eScript medical software utilized by Kaiser Permanente Health Systems for all prescriptions
written to alert prescribing physician and pharmacy of possible drug interactions, side effects, etc. eScript was
utilized by Kaiser Permanente Health System from 1995 until 2009 when Kaiser purchased a comprehensive
software program for all of its electronic medical records incorporating the features of eScript.
Currently, Chairman of Research Board, California Society for Clinical Cannabis Physicians

Honors: 1979 Elected to Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society.
Graduated 2nd in class at UCLA School of Medicine.

April 22, 2010 Presented the first ever CME accredited lecture on Therapies in Medical Cannabis, co-sponsored
by the California Medical Association, the Los Angeles County Medical Association and the Young Physicians’
Association, approved for One Hour of Category I Continuing Medical Education. This lecture will soon be
available on the Internet as a fully-accredited Category I Continuing Medical Education on-line video.
September 1, 2010 - Participated at Good Samaritan Hospital. Round Table format discussion with three other
physicians.on the topic of future therapies and research for medical cannabis, sponsored by the California
Medical Association and the Los Angeles County Medical Association and accredited for 1 hour Category I
Continuing Medical Education.
